Welcome to Our New and Improved Website!

Thanks to maestro mr Bill Chesney of Rough Draft Designs http://roughdraftdesigns.com/ we\'ve got new digital threads to sport here in the web world. Take a look around, we\'re still adding new stuff so make sure and check back soon. Make yourself at home!

What an amazing summer it has been, so much has happened and it\'s hard to believe it\'s behind us. Now, a married couple and closing out another amazing Earthwork Harvest Gathering, it seems that fall has arrived! We can see it on the trees, the seasons are shifting, the air is brisk and the leaves are floating to the ground. Seth and I have been working away and we are excited for what this Autumn brings.

Last January we embarked on an incredible journey to Ethiopia with the organization On the Ground. Working in solidarity with the coffee growing communities, ten American runners and six
Ethiopian runners ran 250 miles through the Yirgacheffe region to raise money to build much needed schools in these communities. Hand in hand, one step at a time the miles were conquered and the support came in. Seth and I were along to engage in a cultural exchange. We played in the schools, we learned songs and dance moves from the children, we learned Ethiopian scales and melodies from incredible ethio-jazz masters, we shared our music along the journey, sang for the runners, played for the people, and wrote an entire album inspired by the experience.

We have been working on this album since we returned home to Michigan and we are finally ready to release it! We have entered our final week of mixing and mastering and we will release the album at venues across the state in October and November! See our shows for dates near you. The album is called \"New Flower\" and it features Michael Shimmin on drums and percussion, Brennan Andes on the bass and Joshua Davis on keyboards and synthesizers. Certain shows will include special opening sets featuring Temesgen, playing traditional Ethiopian instruments and offering you a audio tour of Ethiopian music temesgen.com and Joshua Davis playing songs from his brand new album Magnolia Belles! http://joshuadavismusic.com/ These amazing musicians will be joining us for all of the release shows and half of the profit from the album will go back to Ethiopia to continue supporting the communities that grow our coffee. http://onthegroundglobal.org

On our release tour we will also be showing portions of the documentary film \"When We Run\" filmed and edited by James Weston Schaberg. The first local sneak peak premier will be at the State Theater in Traverse City on October 15th as part of the Great Lakes Bioneers Conference!! http://glbconference.org This is an amazing conference full of inspiration, information and solutions as we try to continue to learn to be better stewards living and breathing on Mother Earth and existing peacefully and respectfully as humans in the world.

We hope to see you soon and until then, thank you for your support... enjoy this beautiful time of year!

Love,

Seth and May
