Happy Holidays!

It was a lovely November. We traveled the state and celebrated the release of New Flower (CD | MP3), our new album inspired by our January pilgrimage to Ethiopia and our work with On the Ground. It was such a joy to share the experience with so many of you who have supported us through the entire journey. We extend our great gratitude to each of you for your continued support, and we are inspired by your love and generosity.

We have prepared a little gift of music here to express our gratitude to you for your support and to help you to celebrate the season.

Four free previously unreleased songs for you:

From Seth:

\"Kick It Out\" and \"Ellen\'s Waltz\", from the soon to be released album, Nothing but This, recorded in the barn at the farm in September of 2006, featuring May Erlewine, Zak Bunce, Drew Howard and Daniel Kahn.

From May:
\"Hercules\", written the day after the winter solstice 2010, and \"The December Waltz\", a demo recording for the album, Love Labor.

We also are giving away a free track from New Flower at our bandcamp site, check it out!

We\'re working to spread the word about New Flower and the work of On the Ground. We\'ve been given the opportunity to be part of a social networking promotion through \"Knock Down Ninja\". You can share us with your friends and we give away free prizes, like unreleased tracks, videos and original art, as the shares increase. The more shares, the bigger the prizes you have a chance to win. They just launched us, and it will only run for a limited time!

We have a bunch of great shows this month! We\'re excited to be playing at some of Michigan\'s special places, all over the west side of the lower peninsula. Our December 8th show at the Mill\'s Community House in Benzonia is special not only because it\'s a much needed fundraiser for Earthwork Farm, but also because Seth\'s Dad will be playing waltzes with our new friend Kailin Yong (linked to, a world renowned violinist who will be in the area for a short time to record an album of fiddle/violin waltzes with Bob Bernard! Seth will be playing guitar and May will assist Ian Gorman with the engineering of the session! We also have a few other recording projects we\'re working on this month as we watch the snow fly.
